It has been a very long time posting anything in my blog. I think this is my first post for the year 2014 :-D
I just gave a try working with quilled jhumkas. This is the first time I am using the jewellery findings to make these jhumkas, pendents and earrings. Hope I succeeded....

Any comments and suggestions are always welcome :)

Hut storage box

Good morning,
Here is a project for the paper crafting section of this month Itsy Bitsy challenge. The challenge is about paper craft or jewellery for kids. I made this storage box. Rolled the newspaper tightly and arranged them. Made a cone shape in cardboard sheet and used for the roof of the hut. I made another same size cone shape and fringed it to give the effect of dry grass. Used acrylic paints to colour them.

You can store you things as seen below:

You can also take away the hut and use both separately:

Hi Friends,
The CC team has come up with a unique theme this month-"The Thrifty Crafter"- Create something good for less than Rs.25.
So, got this idea of making a Cake slice treat box. Used very less and easily available materials. The details are as following:
Handmade paper A4 size (Brown and Cream color 2 sheets) - Rs.20
Quilling Strips(For cherry and cream) - Rs.2
I grated the brown crayon for the chocolate effect.
